UTA professor Mindia Whittier has shown that threw hard work and dedication anything is possible. So what makes Whittier stand out against other UTA faculty? Maybe its the fact that she has been awarded many distinguished awards for contributions to the public relations field. In 2005 she won the best menteur award from the Business Press and in 2008 she won forty unforty award from the Business Press as well. Her favorite memory while working Public Relations for the Fort Worth Zoo was when she got to perform a sonogram on a controversial pregnancy of an elephant. She decided to go into teaching because she always enjoyed working with interns.
