The curtain closed on Texas Hall after a UTA 63-54 victory over Stephen F. Austin. The Mavericks moved to 13-5 overall as LaMarcus Reed hit a couple of key field goals down the the stretch to close out the Lumberjacks. After the game finished, the curtain literally came down to mark the end of the Texas Hall era. It was an emotional night as well as an exciting night because the crowd knew the countdown was on. UTA head basketball coach Scott Cross pumped up the fans and encouraged them to bring the noise to the new College Park Center. The new arena opens on February 1st with a UTA men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader versus UTSA.
