The Center at College Park Center

The Green at College Park Center recently received certification from the SITES Initiative. The park is designed to absorb and retain rainfall to prevent floods. The plants are both native Texas plants and import grasses that help in both absorption and retention of water. Another feature is the rill garden and its main purpose is to retain the water, to keep the water to free flow in the creek and create a flood.  The material used in the construction of the pathway, shade structures, and the rill garden are made from recycled material. The park has gained national recognition because of the certification.
