We spend an evening with WWII military wife Jerry Blakeley. She tells us the tail of her husband and family during the war. She talks about the way America feels about todays wars. She gives great advice to young women everywhere.

UTA has made tons of advancements in sustainability, but do the students have the same drive for a more eco friendly campus. We left trash around campus to find out. In the UC, no one bothered the ball of paper we placed. Outside of the library, people actually went around our lonely water bottle. It wasn’t till we got to the MAC that someone picked up the trash. We interviewed the two that did.

Some students wonder why money is allocated to certain areas of the school. The new College park area will be finished by this fall. The College Park Center has already hosted a wide variety of events that many students have enjoyed. These new additions are great, but some students wonder why money was allocated here and not somewhere else. Ms. UTA Laqruishia Gill explains why the money was not used on something else. The Accounting Society held their annual Firm Night this past Friday. Accounting firms from all over the metroplex came and set up booths. The booths were filled with information on employment for hungry students. Students dressed in their best and brought their resumes. The UTA Health Services teamed up with the American Heart Association to put on a spectacular event. Vendors from all over came to display their foods, tables, and fitness skills.
