Radar Research At UTA

Radio Detection And Ranging or RADAR was developed secretly between different nations before and during the second world war. This form of technology has been used by the military as a means of reconnaissance during missions. One group of researchers at UT Arlington has been working on improving the use of data. Basically, the research being conducted will improve radar accuracy with less data usage. Dr. Qilian Liang and his team of electrical engineering graduate and PhD students received a five-year $797,500 grant from the Office of Naval Research in order to help fund the project. Dr. Liang has been working with ONR since 2003.
