According to a new study by Pew Research Center, 55% of Hispanics priorotize legalization, or green card, to be able to live and work in the country. Only 35% prioritize citizenship. This poll also revelas that for Asians, this trend reverses with more prioritizing citizenship. We spoke to a Mexican-American Studies professor that sheds light into the matter, and also what Hispanic UTA students who have immigrated think about it. Wiith the Immigration Reform being discussed again in Congress and Both Mexican and U.S. Presidents including this point on their bilateral agenda on the North American Summit last week in Mexico City, this poll comes to give us insight about the motivations of the hispanic community to seek the immigration reform.
