The Career Development Center hosted an event for students to learn about dinning etiquette. Guest speaker Collen Rickenbacher is an expert in dinning etiquette. She discussed what each silverware is for and how to use them. She explained the proper way of unrolling your napkin. She also discussed when dinning with potential employers they watch and see how you interact with the waitstaff to get an idea how you will interact with their employees. Rickenbacher explained what and what not to do at the table. For example if you drop something on the floor do not pick it up just leave it and ask for another. Students thought the event was very helpful and will help them in their future career.
