Astronomy Day

On October 25th, the UTA Planetarium hosted Astronomy Day, an exciting day of space education and fun for students and families. The event lasted from 2 – 10p.m. The National Space Society of North Texas, The Fort Worth Astronomical Society and The Moon Society were all part of the event, giving out various items such as pamphlets, buttons, and stickers. There were also special presentations by the president of the Moon Society Ken Murphy and the president of The National Space Society of North Texas Ken Ruffin. The planetarium also presented discounted shows, such as  “Spacepark 360: Infinity”. This memorable event gives the UTA community a chance to educate themselves about the world beyond, not only do you gain knowledge but you discover just how amazing space can be.
