Campus Carry Committee Holds Public Meetings

SB11, or Campus Carry, will take effect August 1, 2016 which allows license holders to carry concealed hand guns on campus. Student Congress President, Emmalie Moe, comments on the open dialogue encouraged by the university’s campus carry committee. Chair of the committee, John Hall, proctored the first meeting earlier this afternoon in the Blue Bonnet ballroom. Several town hall meetings this semester will be held through mid-October, inviting the community to express any concerns prior to drafting provisions considered by the UT System Board of Regents. Meetings are open to anyone that would like to attend. Below is a link to the complete schedule of meetings.
