UTA Student Finds Passion for Politics

When UTA senior Ailey Ore was in high school she was told never to vote. While initially, she didn’t think much about it until she came to college where she was told the same thing by one of her professors. Ore says that after she was told a second time that her vote didn’t matter, it got her thinking about why people shouldn’t vote. Originally a criminal justice major, after exploring the world of political science she changer her major and began pursuing politics. One reason Ore believes so strongly in people having a political voice is because she says one day it will be up to “our” generation to be informed and make important decisions.
