November is Native American Heritage Month. UTA’s Native American Student Association held a Heritage Week on campus from November 14-18th. It included three different events. Each had its own specific topic of interest. The events ranged from a No Dakota Access Pipeline Forum. A Muskogee Creek Language Workshop featuring Muskogee Language instructor Edwin Marshall (Muskogee). Plus, a Presentation called “Journeys in the Land of the Peacemaker” by Dr. Brian Rice (Mohawk) from the University of Winnipeg. Each guest speaker offered valuable insight and history at each event.
