Treehouse UTA is a new open-mic event students are hosting.
Former Mr. UTA Ashford Sonii opened the first event by singing a mix of originals and covers.
Sonii along with other students performed while attendees watched and ate refreshments such as cookies and cake.
Sonii says he’s been musically inclined since he was in middle school and hasn’t stopped singing ever since.
Marketing and management senior Garret Martin is the main creator of Treehouse UTA and says he wanted to give students an outlet to express themselves musically.
