October means a lot for the students of UTA. Leaves falling, pumpkin spice everything, and good old rock and roll outside the library mall. UTA Radio supplies the tunes every year as part of their ‘Rocktober’ event, every Friday in October. The weekly series features local artists to come out to the campus and provide a free concert for students. However, this year’s series was met with several hiccups as rain plagued the month of October. With cancellation after cancellation and with the month winding down, UTA Radio decided to throw one last concert last week with the local band: ‘The Motel Pines’. The sun shined on UTA radio that day and the concert went off without a hitch. The band was rockin’, students were dancin’, and the staff of UTA Radio took a sigh of relief as they were able to have one last concert before the end of the month.
