Consent

Taking precautions is an important step in order to reduce the risk of transferring sexually transmitted diseases. UTA health services hosted the event “Consent is Sexy” in the Palo Duro Lounge this semester.
Students could learn about safe sex practices, consent, and how to maintain a healthy relationship. Interactive activities, giveaways, and prices were provided. Health services offers students free HIV
education on a one-on-one setting. Information regarding birth control choices, what is a sexually transmitted infection, as well as other options to stay healthy, was offered to students by Astrid Fuentes. She is the community outreach specialist of the area.
