New Vegan Restaurant Opens in College Park District

Food options at the College Park District are constantly changing. This semester, introduced a fresh addition named, Down To Earth Vegan Kitchen. A Mexican vegan restaurant that shares the same space as Bombaby Chopstix, although they each have their own kitchen. Owner, Alma Rangel, has operated Down To Earth as a food truck for four years now in the Metroplex and has now founded its first sit-down location on campus. The menu offers vegan-styled Mexican options such as tacos and tortas. This new option will help students and staff maintain their diets. Alma Rangel says she excited to bring this plant-based menu to UTA. – Jose Delgado
