Alcohol Awareness Month: Drunk Dunks

The UTA Health Services is hosting several fun and educational activities throughout April to promote Alcohol Awareness Month. The objective is to ensure students know the dangers of alcohol impairment. “Drunk Dunks” was held at the University Center mall, where students shot hoops while using drunk goggles to experience the effects that alcohol has on the brain and hand to eye coordination. Health Educator, Alexis Longoria, explained the physical, mental and legal consequences alcohol impairment can have and says all accidents related to alcohol consumption can be avoided if we all learn how to be responsible for ourselves and others.
