The Mydlarz Lab Takes a Look at Coral Killing Diseases

The Mydlarz Lab at UTA is constantly looking for new ways to save the coral reefs in our oceans.  One such disease Dr. Mydlarz and graduate students who work in the Mydlarz lab are studying is a Scleractinian Coral Tissue Loss Disease.  It a new type of disease that has spread rapidly from the Floriday Keys all the way to the U. S. Virgin Islands in just a few short years.  Kylan Riley talks with Dr. Mydlarz and graduate student Kelsey Beavers about what they are doing to help combat disease like these in the lab at UTA, and what it means to them personally to be on the front lines defending coral reefs.
