UTA’s Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority hosted an event to make a difference. They made dresses and other garments out of pillowcases for the children in Haiti who suffered after the hurricanes. The AKA’s opened the event for anyone who wanted to come and help out. Students got the opportunity to learn how to sew , cut and do other things to make dresses.Students who never touched a sewing machine got the opportunity to experience what it’s like to make a piece of clothing. The AKA’s wanted people to see the global impact that they have throughout the world. They will have many other events for students to make a difference in the future.
