This particular one is based on student learning about their health. They learn not only how to keep their body healthy, but their mind spirit, soul, and outside communication. Students can also use this opportunity to use this mini one hour course to earn extra credit for their classes. While taking notes and being offered snacks student explain why this opportunity is great and how it is important to keep all these techniques in mind for their college career.

Women are Appreciated

UTA celebrates women this spring semester by going to different activities, becoming one and even sleeping. Though some women aren’t aware of Aprils celebration of women, they make an effort to try and celebrate the last days. With many different activities going on throughout the semester to help celebrate women, UTA is very proud of the women that have made not only an impression and but an statement for themselves and making UTA proud. Come see what we are doing on campus and help us celebrate, while students also help celebrate and move into the moth of April, celebrating Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).

Karbhari and Pizza

This past week students from UTA had the chance to sit down and experience a chance of a lifetime with UTA’s President Karbhari. While President Karbhari talked to all the students about UTA’s issues and upcoming events they were able to ask their own question and receive free food and gifts. This informational setting is an annual event usually held at UC’s Palo Duro lounge with the opportunity to not only ask question but engage with President Karbhari and build a relationship. If you missed it be sure to contact his office in Davis Hall or send an email to vkarbhari@uta.edu

UTA Celebrates Diversity

UTA begins this March with celebrating diversity within UTA students. This event was held by the Multicultural Affairs department. The students that came experienced many different other cultures by playing games, talking to others, and even enjoying food. While their was much fun, students were informed with different informational booths and  also enjoyed making crafts that let others know about their culture. Students were also able to take pictures with others and stick around to talk to all the Multicultural Affairs department attendees.

Meet the Greeks

The first few weeks of February not only kick off black history month, but also lead up to Greek week. It’s a time dedicated to showing students that fraternity and sorority life at UTA is more than just a simple social group. The UTA National Pan-Hellenic Council hosts “Meet the Greeks”, an opportunity to present the Divine Nine fraternities and sororities at the rosebud theater located in the University Center. The event gives students the chance to meet and greet with fraternities and sororities that are a part of NPHC.
