Esports Stadium

The city of Arlington opened their doors on Monday to their very first Esports stadium here in the DFW metroplex. The Arlington mayor came to celebrate the new coming of welcoming the gaming community to the city of Arlington in open arms. As many say this will open a lot of opportunities for the students of UTA as well as people from around the city. The first tournament will take place on Saturday with ECS 2018 coming with a $3 million cash prize for the winning team.

Gaming Invasion

UTA is having a hands-on exploration of gaming history in the library for the whole month of November for those who are interested in learning about how gaming has evolved within the past couple years. You can find many console systems such as the original Xbox, Playstation, SNES, Atari 2600 and much more. If you want to learn the facts about of some of the earliest systems make sure to check out the basement of UTA’s library and game on!

Cook Childrens Charity

UTA’s Esports club came together to host an annual charity event to help raise funds for Cook Children’s hospital. Several students gathered around to help participate in this event that takes place at the UTA UC building. All the funds collected will go towards this year’s charity which is Cook Children’s hospital.
